It Started with a Kitchen Dream

When I first met this homeowner, she was excited to begin planning her dream kitchen remodel. Her existing kitchen had served her well for many years, but it was no longer meeting her family's needs. The cabinets were beginning to fall apart, the pantry lacked the storage and organization she wanted, and the peel-and-stick backsplash had started to separate from the wall. It was clear that it was time to transform the space into a kitchen that was not only beautiful, but also more functional for everyday living.

An Unexpected Turn of Events

An unexpected leak in the primary bathroom changed everything. Instead of moving forward with the kitchen first, the bathroom suddenly became the priority. Rather than simply repairing the damage, the homeowners decided it was the perfect opportunity to create the primary bathroom they had always wanted. We shifted gears, redesigned the space, and transformed an unexpected setback into a beautiful, functional bathroom they could enjoy every day.

Creating a Beautiful Bathroom

Our goal was simple: create a primary bathroom that felt like a luxury spa while providing more beauty, comfort, and storage. Since the corner soaking tub was rarely used, we removed it to make better use of the space. In its place, we designed a wall of beautiful custom cabinetry, giving the homeowners the storage they had always wanted.

To complete the transformation, we designed a spacious zero-entry walk-in shower finished with timeless marble tile from floor to ceiling. Warm gold fixtures and accents added the perfect finishing touch, creating a bathroom that feels elegant, inviting, and effortlessly relaxing.

3 Years Later and One More Baby

Once we completed the primary bathroom remodel, life had other plans. Like many homeowners, priorities shifted, and the kitchen remodel was put on hold. During those three years, their family welcomed a beautiful new baby, making life busier—and making a functional kitchen even more important.

When the time was finally right, they reached back out to us to bring the kitchen we had originally envisioned to life. It was such a joy to pick up where we had left off and create a space that perfectly fit the needs of their growing family.

When it was finally time to begin the kitchen remodel, we focused on creating a space that would support their growing family for years to come. Storage, organization, and functionality became the foundation of the design, with custom cabinetry thoughtfully planned to make everyday life easier.

One of the kitchen's most striking features is the beautiful custom range hood, which creates a stunning focal point and anchors the entire space. Rather than viewing the home's distinctive arched window as outdated, we embraced its unique character. By extending the tile around the window, we highlighted the home's original architecture and turned it into one of the kitchen's most charming design features.

The result is a kitchen that feels timeless, functional, and uniquely theirs—a space where their family can gather, cook, and make memories together.
